The crown jewel of Florida offshore fishing and the fastest fish in the ocean. Sailfish are celebrated for their acrobatic fights, with spectacular leaps and runs that can strip hundreds of yards of line. Stuart, Florida holds the title of 'Sailfish Capital of the World.'

Behavior

Uses its enormous sail-like dorsal fin to herd baitfish into tight balls before striking. Pelagic species that follows the Gulf Stream. Peak season in South Florida is November–March. Known for explosive hookups and aerial acrobatics.
