Behavior
Ambush feeder along mangrove shorelines and seawalls. Cold-sensitive โ migrates to warmer water or dies in cold snaps below 60ยฐF.

Razor-sharp gill plates can cause serious cuts. Handle with a lip grip or wet towel over the gill plate area. Catch-and-release only during closed season.
