Behavior
Migratory. Massive schools gather along southwest Florida beaches May-July. Can gulp air and survive in oxygen-depleted water.

Catch-and-release only in Florida (unless pursuing IGFA record). Do not remove large tarpon from the water — support in the water for photos. Revive thoroughly before release.
